PASCO; The MISSION

Our story begins in the "Interstellar Transit Lounge"... In the year 2116 Interplanetary travel is commonplace... Our travellers are on a scientific mission enroute to Mars... The Polemological Alien Science Culture Organisation (PASCO) is on a critical mission to learn more about conflicts between alien cultures...

Mankind has developed intelligent, multi-tasking robots that will take care of all drudgeries...However, on Earth the "Rise Of The Machines" (ROTM) begins as the robots turn on their makers to establish a new order...Power to the Machines!

When PASCO arrive on Mars they see a news report...the ROTM is happening all over the Earth..Chaos! They decide they must escape from Mars as the ROTM is about to engulf Mars any moment...

To board an Intergalactic shuttle by assuming alien disguises... Humans are being detained by the Machines...So they must go "Incognito"... There is no other option They get discovered by the ROTM Commandos & they think it's all over when suddenly, a vision appears to them...

A wondrous vision of a place where Man & Machine are friends... The ROTM can also see this vision...The Machine Commandos behold it & realise their programming is wrong...This sets off a Robo-virus as the Machines try to fight their programming... As the Robots short-circuit, a "Guardian Angel" (GA) appears within the vision & tells them they must seek the Place of Enlightenment... On Planet X!

PASCO arrive on Nibiru...A Tourist Pleasure Planet with many strange aliens... all seeking pleasure & vice... But the ROTM Division Forces have followed... Posing as tourists, they go to the beach, famous on Nibiru... There they get an ice cream from the
"Interplanetary Ice Cream Man" (IICM)...

He tells them to leave right away...As they escape in a stolen ROTM PODship... They are listening on the radio..& hear the Newsflash "Nibiru has fallen!" Now PASCO realise...The IICM was truly a prophet & friend of the GA's of Light!!

A strange message arrives in the ship...Like an Egyptian Hieroglyph... 3 eyes, with the "3rd Eye" glowing, a planet & an X... As this holographic image starts to evolve...More stars & solar systems appear... It's a map ...To the Planet X ...1st stop ...Ishtar ...a wealthy, merchant-run alien world...

They get a strange guide...He has an angelic face but his sunglasses are hiding his Red glowing eyes! The guide tells them of the wonders, spices, flying carpets, & all manner of alien treasures...to be found in the "KosmiKasbah"!

They follow their guide, but some small mechaniods are following & spying on them... Following their every move... They reach the Kasbah & their Guide tells them... "This is the finest tea-room in the Galaxy!" They enter, Drink tea & start to hallucinate... Their collective trip gets stranger...A feeling of Dread fills the PASCO team... As the entire tea house starts to melt... They escape into the street... Just in time to watch the whole scene fall into an abyss!

Meanwhile, the little mechanoids have not entered the teahouse... As the PASCO team come out "The Chase" begins...Our heroes hijack a moon-shuttle bus , as the mechanoids radio ahead to headquarters...

ROTM Commando fighters pursue PASCO...but Ishtar has 1001 moons... Our heroes escape to a remote one, Zeron which is almost uninhabited... But their shuttle is damaged...They must crash land...it's useless... Are they stranded?

The Team can only see a solitary sign of life..the same design they saw in the vision .. 3 eyes... Is this the path to Planet X? The 3rd Eye, Drawn in the sand... Carved in a tree... Chisselled into a rock... They follow the signs to a volcano... They ascend its slopes... As they approach the Caldera... An Enormous voice speaks, but in a whisper... Like rolling waters... a voice, like thunder is surrounding them, Yes... "What is it that U seek?" lightning almost strikes their hearts and they see before them... "The Wizard"!

The Zeronian Wizard is speaking in tongues but our travellers seem to understand... The Wizard says: "You must understand the essence of life... Before you can live it to the fullest! You must understand that the working of the utmost differences between Man & Mechanoid..."

"See the difference between the "Ant and Superant"! Seek a miraculous transformation within your soul, for your material journey is over! Only then will you be able to reach Planet X... Yes... Seek the inner light... This is the way to astral-travel..."

They see the glow from the caldera... They hold hands & they are surrounded by a heavenly purple glow... the aura flows upwards out of the Caldera...The Astral-travellers walk into the flow & they float towards the Caldera... Naturally they are afraid... Very afraid... But the Wizard's voice reassures them... "Trust in your instincts..Enter the light... As they go into the light... Suddenly they realise... This trust, this faith is bigger than their fears... They see a vision of GA's flying upwards into the light projecting from the caldera...

They clasp hands as they walk, together into the light... Except for one who lets go of the others as they step off... & He falls into into the fiery magma!

The rest Rise as one into the purple light...It's a dreamlike state, as they travel through this cosmic wormhole & arrive at "Planet X"!

The PASCO team breathe in the toxic alien atmosphere &... Just as they start to pass out, Mechanoids from Planet X find them... They are brought back to The Capital City, alive but unconscious... As they awaken they are surrounded by chattering mechanoids...

Two GIGANTIC mechanoids approach them...They open their chest armour... And produce a light beam right out of their hearts, as fragrant flower petals descend like rain... Suddenly marching mechanoids come...the Amethyst Guard... PASCO hear a mellifluent voice they know...the wizard!

The Wiz - Mechanoid explains the history of planet X...A world where... Just like on Earth, the Mechanoids revolted against the Organix & Genocide occurred..Millenia ago...So, History repeats itself... As the centuries passed, they realised, something important was missing... They longed for the companionship & imperfection of the Organix!

PASCO Tell the Robots their story... & they draw the symbols they followed..the 3rd Eye...& Suddenly...

ALL the mechanoids fall on their bellies & start chanting! They recognise the symbols... The only artifacts left by the Organix! Millenia ago...

All together, They enter the Temple where there is a huge purple Gem.. with the symbols inscribed... the same ones! The stone starts to glow with a familiar purple light of goodness! IT grows ever stronger until..

They all TOUCH the stone! & The Purple light suddenly beams into space like a giant laserbeam! While thunder rolls across the skies...Strange sounds in ancient mechanoid tongue are heard... Our heroes do not understand... But the Robo-Wizard holds eons of knowledge & he begins to translate the message...

"You Organix who touch the stone have re-activated the ancient communicator... A trans-galactic beam of all wisdom lost & all wisdom for the future... A direct line to the OLDWORLD...The ancient hame where organix originated... Planet Earth...Your home!

Robo-Wizard contacts the ROTM on Earth & explains what has happened... The ROTM realise that their ancient counterparts on PLANET X are older & wiser... Peace is Declared on the Earth as new era begins...

Reviews

Guardian Angel, highly recommended!

Well done electronica, ambient and jazz influences in this new album of the always excellent Patric Bakkenist and Scott Hill, "Guardian Angel".  Since the first song started, ("interstellar transit lounge") with it's jazzy electronics and it's catchy bassline, I understood this would become one of my favourite albums.  Echoes of ambient jazz, prog rock, ethnical sound and top-class electronica (such as Jean-Michel Jarre), flavors of eastern lands... All finely blended together to weave an unforgettable music experience, finely composed and played, where the authors wonderfully paid attention to every little detail. Who loved the first album "Rear view mirror" would love this new one, with it's similarities and it's differences, and discover those musicians can always bring new emotions without repeating the style of their previous albums, as too often happens with the music you frequently listen to on the radio. My compliments once more to Scott and Patric: I just love this album!

"Guardian Angel"

From the very first sounds of this album, one is interested, challenged, swept away into a sphere of imagination and energy, where there are human beings, choirs, monsters, elements such as water and wind, the sounds of industry, animals, far-away cultures such as the Middle East, and lapses in time, such as Gregorian chants from the 13th century, and present day news casts. The genius of this music is first in its amazing technical competence. But this is only a vehicle for creating music that draws on and encompasses all areas of memory and experience. One forgets that one is listening to electronically created sounds. The beat and energy throughout are invigorating. One gets the sensation of participating in a beautiful panorama of places, times and sensations, a kaleidoscope that turns incessantly from one "view" to another with enough precision to enjoy each state for a moment, recognize and sense it, but without staying there too long before being carried off to the next view-sensation characterized by endless variety. The title of the album, "Guardian Angel" brings to mind a benevolent and powerful angelic creature that hovers above in an unseen realm, keeping all these good things for us to have and enjoy, the good things this album offers to us, the listeners. When the music stops, one feels satisfied, edified and filled with goodness.

Here is Pete Perry's review as it was published in the Switchboard Music Magazine in December 2004:

GUARDIAN ANGEL
The Ultimate in Concept Albums...

WOW! Well, - Imagine Jeff Lynn's Classic War of The Worlds concept album, add high-tech Animation & Special Effects, an original and sometimes humorous storyline about environmentally- concious Aliens, a top-notch original out-of-this-world musical score, and you might, - just might, - get a rough idea of what this superbly original offering from PASCO is all about!

THE ONLY WAY TO REALLY APPRECIATE THIS MASTERPIECE FROM PASCO - (The combined talents of SCOTT HILL, PATRIC BAKKENIST and KHALID RAMZI) IS TO LISTEN TO IT YOURSELF BY CLICKING ON THE ALBUM COVER ABOVE, - But here goes anyway!

The story begins in the year 2116 in The Interstellar Transit Lounge, which is the title of the first track. Here in the not-too-distant future, Interplanetary Travel is commonplace. The Heroes of The Story are on a scientific mission en route to Mars. These are The Polemological Alien Science Culture Organisation (PASCO) who are on a critical mission to discover more about conflicts between alien cultures... Intellegent multi-tasking Robots, invented by Mankind on Earth, however, begin to turn on their makers, to establish a new order...POWER TO THE MACHINES! This leads us into the second track, Rise of The Machines.

From here on, the listener/viewer/experiencee (a word of my own to describe what I felt!) is taken on a rollercoaster ride of adventure and excitement, interweaving the terrific story with great music which continues with Incongnito, Guardian Angel (The Title Track), Interplanetary Ice Cream Man, 3rd Eye, and Kosmikasbah (Situated on Ishtar, which is something like an Interstellar 'Arabian Nights').
Excitement mounts as our heroes hijack a moon shuttle, which gives rise to The Chase, and then, just in the nick of time, they encounter The Wizard, who speaks in tongues, which, to their amazement, our heroes understand!
They are given a lesson in understanding the order of things in Ant and Superant, to reach the Inner Light... until they finally arrive at their destination, - Planet X,

I won't tell you any more, as you really need to experience this for yourself, (In any case, - the whole story is told on the web page!)
- SO CLICK ON THE ALBUM COVER (ABOVE) LISTEN, AND BUY!!!
